No visit to New Zealand is complete with a trp to the farm and a viewing of a local sheep shearer in action. The sheep shearers are known for their quirky sense of humor and amazing stength and endurance. The record for shearing a day's worth of sheep right now is 170, an average of 35 seconds per sheep. I am thinking they could give Lance Armstrong a run for his money, especially since a bicycle is much easier to control than a sheep. Pictures today are of the sheep shearer and me having a conversation with an emu about the weather.
